Keyfinder is an application designed to retrieve product keys of several products installed on one's PC. The utility makes a list of the keys, so they are not lost in case of a disk failure or a disk formatting. The basic idea of the program is to have that information safe in case of a problem, therefore you save money by using the already bought keys instead of buying new ones.
The program can automatically retrieve keys for several applications and games, numbering over 60. The only thing you have to do is open the application and allow it to do a quick search on the registry, then you get a list of the applications it has found and their product keys. The program also allows you to send a key or keys to a file which can later be conveniently stored on a backup location. There is also an option of sending a CD Key Retrieval request in case there is a Key not listed in the program. The trial version allows you to see how many programs it can recognize on your computer, but doesn't let you do any much else, since it covers with asterisks (*) the trailing numbers of every product key it retrieves. However, getting the full version will allow you to handle the keys without any problems.
